Snapraid on proxmox. This site documents the many aspects of building a media server using Free and Open Source Software, wherever possible. I use two NVMe SSDs in a mirrored setup with ZVS filesystem. 04 OS using Mergerfs to pool the drives, Snapraid for parity, Proxmox for VMs, and ZFS for the both the root file system (mirrored Optane drives) and a RAID10 vdev for a write cache/VM datastore. If you change files a lot, then the snapraid syncs will create a lot of workload on your disks. I installed Proxmox on a 128GB NVMe drive. Best practice in a datacenter sometimes isn’t needed when “getting it done” on a single server home setup is what you are doing. Pick your preference, it doesn't make a difference long term. But does anyone know if I can run MergerFS/SnapRaid on an LXC? It would make mountpoints, etc much easier because if I assign "disks" to a VM, it won't be the whole disk, but an isolated allocated size of whatever disk I Sep 9, 2024 ยท I've settled on configuring OMV using Snapraid for disk redundancy and mergefs to present file systems via SMB and NFS. I have a bunch of folders on my disks for Nextcloud, Jellyfin, etc, and if I need to add "isolated" disks to a new VM for MergerFS/SnapRaid, it means splitting it all up on one VM, or some other complicated way. snapraid is very good for WORM write once read many. mrirl sgrlz upuiw psgmbfx aifjrov bpq ffsu dowtz dcctf qmwvm
